Annual General Review

Despite the financial difficulties of the past year, Executive Director Ann Taylor stresses that the Refuge is determined to continue with its core mission: supporting women and their children suffering domestic abuse. She highlights the role of the Essex Women's Aid Partnership as a mouthpiece for all the Essex refuges.

This collaboration has been invaluable in strengthening our position to campaign against the cuts and we are using that partnership to share resources and expertise and work on new initiatives.

The Outreach service continues to grow. Outreach Services Manager Julie Clifford describes how her team have tackled the challenge of increasing demand this year and outlines future plans.

We needed to use our team to best effect to increase our visibility in the community and provide women with better access to our services.
