Making a donation to the Refuge

Gift aid

Under the Gift Aid scheme, charities can reclaim an extra 25% in tax on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. Between 6 April 2008 and 5 April 2011, the government will also give UK charities an extra 3% of all eligible donations. All you have to do is spend 2 minutes filling in our Gift Aid form.

Why is Tax-Effective Giving so important?

If every donor were to give their donations tax-effectively, charities could claim an estimated additional £900 million pounds from the Inland Revenue each year. Providing that you are a UK taxpayer, you could hugely boost your charitable donations simply by giving in a tax-efficient way. 

How is my online donation processed?

Your donation will be processed by Paypal, who specialise in online transactions. The credit card form is secure and all processing of your donation is automatic. You can donate online by completing this form.
