Support for womenWhat else the Refuge offersDrop-in support groupWe hold a coffee morning on Thursdays from 10.30 to 12.30 at The Big House. This is an informal occasion. We provide a lounge, sofas and light refreshments, together with a crêche for pre-school children. Our coffee morning organiser, who has a great understanding of domestic violence, introduces new members to the group. Topics of conversation are determined by the group and range widely. Domestic violence may or may not be discussed, but we find that many women enjoy the chance to chat to other women who have had similar experiences to themselves, whatever the topic of conversation. If you would like to know more about our coffee mornings, phone 01206 500 585. CounsellingOur counsellor provides one to one counselling for clients who request it.
