Student placements

CTWR accepts students training in social work, health care, and childcare, on short-term placements of either 50 or 80 days. These placements are arranged to meet the requirements of various professional qualifications. Because of the nature of our work, however, we draw on the rights provided under Section 7(1) and Section 7(2)(e) of the Sex Discrimination Act 1975 and only accept women students for these placements.

Over the years CTWR has enjoyed having students from various organizations, including Anglia Ruskin University. Some of our ex-students are still in touch with us. If you are a student and interested in having a placement with us please ask your tutor to contact the Refuge manager on 01206 761 352.
